SENIOR FELLOW & ALUMNI NETWORKS
Developing a vibrant network and mentoring are central to APALI’s work of developing civic leadership pipelines in government, nonprofit, education, and private sectors. APALI has a vibrant network of over 400 active alumni in community civic leadership, plus over 100 current and former public officials serving in Silicon Valley/Bay Area region. APALI has over 1200 graduates since 1999.
Began in 2006, the Senior Fellows Program convenes a collegial gathering of officials and policy leaders each quarter. The format has included speaker luncheons, discussion forums, leadership workshops, and annual benefit dinner. Program goals of these well-attended events are to promote leadership networking, current affairs dialog, and leadership training.
APALI’s Senior Fellows network currently number over 70 participants.

Began in 2009, the Alumni Program experienced significant growth in recent years to support an increasing number of APALI graduates serving in civic positions. Among APALI alumni, there are over 250 serving in government and non-profit sectors alone.
